Located in Gangdong-myeon, Gyeongju-si, Tentaus is a pristine and luxurious camping site which was once a school. Its unique name, Tentaus, is a play on the word “tent” and “taus” (a Korean word for “school”), emphasizing its transformation from a closed school into a modern camping site.

Getting There and What to Expect

Tentaus is approximately 17km from Gyeongju City Hall. A scenic 20-minute drive via the Sanup-ro, Geonpo Industrial Road, and Cheongang-ro will lead you to this unique destination. The cleanliness of the site is evident in all its facilities, while the sense of luxury is most pronounced in its glamping accommodations. Tentaus offers 15 glamping spots and 45 regular camping sites.

  • Inside the glamping accommodations, you’ll find beds, air conditioning, fans, and refrigerators.
  • The exterior private deck is equipped with camping tables, chairs, cooking tools and utensils.
  • The ground of the regular camping sites is made of crushed stone and each site measures 8.5m x 10m.

Not far from the camping site, you can explore the Gyeongju Yangdong Village and Jeongmyeong Natural Ecological Park. Several restaurants are also operating near the former Bujo Station. Depending on the season, you can also enjoy spring flower trips, summer water activities, autumn foliage spots, winter snow flower spots, and walking trails.
