Breezy Sol Valley Campground
Embrace the vibrant Korean culture and history while camping at the Breezy Sol Valley Campground.
About the Campground
Opened on May 1, 2017, the Breezy Sol Valley Campground is located along Cheonggye-dong Road in Gokseong County, Gokseong-eup. The campground features amenities such as a management office, a cooking area, and 40 deck campsites. With its proximity to the Seomjin River, the campground offers picturesque views. The verdant pine forest and the clear valley water make it an ideal spot for camping and a popular summer retreat.
The campground is steeped in history. The Cheonggye-dong valley within the campground was the place where Cheonggye Yang Daebak, a volunteer army commander during the early Imjin War, recruited and trained his troops and manufactured weapons. This sense of history is preserved with a campground set up amidst the Korean pine forest, allowing visitors to feel the patriotism of our ancestors and the heroic spirit of Cheonggye Yang Daebak. The campground also features a volunteer army experience center, where visitors can experience archery and armor-wearing, reminiscent of the ancient volunteer army activities, and immerse themselves in our culture.
Furthermore, the campground offers discounted facilities for families in need of social consideration, such as families with three or more children, and families where three generations live together. It is a recommended spot for family tourists.
