Azalea Green: Auto Camping Amidst the Beauty of Daeho Bay’s Sunset
The Azalea Green auto camping site is located near Daeho Bay in Daeho-myeon, Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do. If you’re not using the latest navigation, you might be guided into the mountains. A regular navigation system will lead you to the site in about 20 minutes if you turn right towards ‘Saseong-ri’ at the intersection just past the elementary school.
From the entrance, as you ascend the uphill road, it’s like an expanded terraced field on a mountain, with cars and tents forming layers on the stair-like sites. The approximately 23,100㎡ (around 7,000 pyeong) site can accommodate 55 auto camping areas with crushed stone sites and two wooden decks. Each site is equipped with electrical facilities and fire extinguishers. There are two bathrooms and two shower stalls for both men and women, and two dishwashing areas.

As evening falls, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset over Daeho Bay right across the camping site, adding to the romance of camping. There’s a playground for children to run around, and the camping site is open for use all year round. Nearby attractions such as Waemok Village, Sapgyo Hamsang Park, and Solmoe Holy Ground make for easy combined tours. The convenience store operates until 10 PM. There are no restaurants nearby, but a discount mart is a 5-10 minute drive away.
