Shinbul Mountain Waterfall Natural Recreation Forest
Located on the slopes of the second highest peak of the Youngnam Alps, the Shinbul Mountain Waterfall Natural Recreation Forest stands proudly over 1,000 meters above sea level.
This beautiful camping site, also known as the base camp of the Youngnam Alps, is surrounded by spectacular mountainous landscapes and various species of trees mingling with the mysterious rock formations of the ancient era. The pristine, crystal clear streams offer an abundance of water, providing true mental and physical healing to its visitors.
Unique Features
Unlike other recreational forests nationwide, this one is divided into upper and lower sections. The upper forest, known as “the slowest moving forest,” is about an hour’s walk from the lower section. To enhance customer convenience, baggage transportation service is provided once a day. However, any additional baggage must be carried by the visitors themselves. During the winter season, the upper forest is not operational. The walking distance from the lower forest to the upper forest is approximately 1.7km and it takes about 40 minutes. The only place where charcoal grills can be used is at the lower area’s camping deck. Campers should prepare their own equipment and tools for using the charcoal grill.
