Sanarae Caravan Camping Site
The Sanarae Caravan Camping Site, which translates to “Living and Enjoying Caravan Camping Site”, offers a unique experience of enjoying the sunrise over the East Sea from an exotic caravan.
Location and Accessibility
Sanarae Caravan Site is located near Gampo in Janggi-myeon, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. After exiting from the Pohang IC on the Iksan-Pohang Expressway, pass through Yangpo-hang and proceed towards Ulsan for about 5 minutes to reach the destination.
Facilities and Views
The site is equipped with 5 large American-style caravans and 5 medium to small Korean-style caravans. All caravans offer a view of the East Sea, allowing you to enjoy the sunrise from your bed. During the summer, you can swim on the beach located in front of the caravan, and there is also a swimming pool and a trampoline.
- The American-style caravans have 2 or 3 expanded sides, providing a spacious bedroom and living room space, from where you can enjoy the sea view and sunrise.
- On the other hand, the Korean-style caravans are located on the ground and on the roof of the pension, offering a panoramic view of the sea and the East Sea sunrise. The site also operates one-room and two-room pension types.
Nearby Attractions
Nearby attractions include Guryongpo Port, Oeo Temple, Jukdo Market, and Pohang Iron and Steel on the Pohang side, and King Munmu’s Tomb in Gampo or Gyeongju is close, making combined tours easy. There are also seafood restaurants, restaurants, and markets in the nearby Yangpo Port or Guryongpo Port, making it a good place for meals.
