Mabang Campground
Located in the heart of Kumagyeok Valley, Mabang Campground is a tranquil oasis nestled amidst the rich flora of Bonghwa County, in the Socheon District of North Gyeongsang Province. Just a short 40-minute drive from Bonghwa County Office, this verdant escape offers the perfect environment to immerse yourself in nature and enjoy a peaceful camping experience.
Details and Features
The campground features 15 campsites, each outlined by boundary stones and equipped with a hearth and electricity. Both personal trailers and caravans are welcome, with the latter’s usage fee being the same as that of the regular campsite. However, there’s no on-site convenience store, so you’ll want to come prepared with all the necessary supplies. While on your way to the campground, you might find it useful to stop at the Bonghwa Market for any last-minute needs.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Mabang Campground. And while the site is only operational during the summer, you can make your reservation either by phone or in person.
Nearby Attractions
Once you’ve set up camp, you might want to explore some of the nearby attractions. The National Cheongoksan Natural Recreation Forest and Bonghwa Pine Forest are just two of the many natural havens that surround the area. For a taste of local cuisine, head over to Daepung Restaurant, where you can indulge in traditional dishes like Native Chicken Soup and Mountain Vegetable Bibimbap.
And of course, you can’t miss out on the summer water play – a favorite activity amongst visitors!
