Introducing Daehoesan Campground
If you’re a fan of camping and nature, and also have a soft spot for Korean culture, then the Daehoesan Campground is a must-visit. “Daehoesan” translates approximately to “great meeting mountain,” hinting at the communal and jovial atmosphere that awaits you at this site.
About Daehoesan Campground
Located within the Daehoesan mountain area, this camping site stretches across a massive 39,669 square meters. It’s equipped with 150 auto camping sites and five glamping facilities, making it a large-scale campground that can accommodate a variety of camping preferences.
The campground is divided into sections from A to J, with J being the most recently added. J site is a laid-out lawn area, perfect for light sports activities. The remaining areas are all gravel.
Adjacent to the grass square, there is a small pond. Although it’s not for decorative purposes and you can’t enter, it’s a great spot to watch frogs. During the winter, the campsite operates a large snow sledding facility, which is a delightful treat for winter campers.
Aside from the facility, Daehoesan Campground also offers various events and experiential programs, adding to the fun of your camping experience. It’s important to note that there is a “mannertime” here, a period to respect other campers’ peace. Starting from 11:30 PM, campers need to be quiet, and by midnight, lights should be off as it’s bedtime.
