Perched in the heart of the picturesque landscape of Wolryubong in Sangchon-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungbuk, the House Where the Moon Stays is a camping site that immediately captures your attention. Located approximately 16 km away from the Yeongdong County Office, this haven can be reached via the Yeongdong Hwanggan-ro and Nangye-ro, by car – a journey that typically takes around 25 minutes. Its prime location at the foot of Wolryubong, a sight considered one of the ‘Eight Scenic Sights of Hancheon’, explains the origin of the camping site’s name, which translates to ‘a peak where the moon stays’.

Features and Layout

The camping site comprises of twelve general camping plots, nine of which are gravel and three are deck. The size of the gravel sites is about 9m in width and 10m in length, while the deck sites measure 4m in width and 7m in length. The site accommodates personal trailers and caravans, however, electricity usage is not available for caravans. The campsite closes annually during July to August and December to February, and operates only on weekends.
