One Night in a Forest Full of Moonlight
Moon Forest Campsite, or ‘달숲 캠핑장’, is nestled in the Geumseong-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. Once you exit the Central Expressway via the South Jecheon IC and follow the Wolrim-ro 2-gil, you’ll reach the campsite after passing about 2km of farmland and climbing about 100m up a mountain road. It’s as if you’re tucked into a punchbowl surrounded by various trees like cypress and maple trees that naturally provide shade. The campsite has a total of 40 camping sites, including 20 crushed stone surfaces and 20 decks. There are clean separate male and female showers and two water faucets in the management building, and a convenience store is also operated. There are playground facilities for children, and a swimming pool is open during the summer.
Convenient Location and Nearby Activities
The campsite is conveniently located near Cheongpung Lake, Cheongpung Cultural Foundation, Uirimji, Baeron Holy Land, and Dodam Sambong, making it easy for tourists to visit multiple places. It’s also close to downtown Jecheon and Cheongpung Lake, making it easy to access restaurants and large supermarkets. Depending on the season, nearby activities include spring flower trips, summer water play, fall foliage viewing, winter snow flower viewing, and walking trails.
