Famous for its autumn foliage, Naechon camping site in Naejangsan National Park is the perfect place to enjoy the colorful beauty of Mount Naejang up close. Just about 1km away from the campsite, you’ll find a terminal, restaurants, and accommodations. The accessibility to the city makes it one of the top camping sites in Jeonbuk, drawing in numerous tourists every year. A 3km-long autumn foliage path stretches from the campsite to Naejangsa Temple, with the best viewing time being the first to second week of November. The diverse hues of the foliage paint the trees in a scene straight out of a picture book.
The campsite has 69 sites, all with natural soil ground. Each site is equipped with a fire extinguisher and a distribution box, ensuring both convenience and safety. A table is also provided at each site to enhance the comfort of the campers. The cost is quite affordable, with off-peak rates at 15,000 KRW and peak rates at 19,000 KRW, managed by the Korea National Park Service. However, securing a reservation during the autumn foliage season can be as challenging as plucking stars from the sky. It is on a first-come-first-served basis, so be sure to book in advance.
