Hwemunsan National Natural Recreation Forest
The Hwemunsan National Natural Recreation Forest Campground, nestled in the majestic foothills of Hwemunsan, offers a unique camping experience. It is located within the Hwemunsan National Natural Recreation Forest and is managed by the Korea Forest Service National Natural Recreation Forest Management Office. Hwemunsan is a mountain inhabited by naturally occurring oak species, beautiful flowers, and native animals, and is known as Yeongsan, one of the five famous places in Korea. As soon as you enter the Hwemunsan Recreation Forest, you can see a waterfall and a cloud bridge over 30 meters high, and a viewing platform on top of it, giving you a panoramic view of the majestic Hwemunsan.
Campground Details
The campground has a total of 21 camping sites, composed of 7 camping decks of 13 square meters or more and 14 large camping decks of 9~13 square meters. There is a cool walking path on one side, which is great for a leisurely walk between the trees. We strongly recommend visiting the woodworking experience center inside the forest, which houses a library in the forest and an insect pavilion. It is especially beneficial for families with children to visit, as many children enjoy their time here, creating their own photo panels and participating in experiential learning.
