Kuma Auto Camping Ground
Located in the lush precinct of Kumai Gotgam Village, the Kuma Auto Camping Ground is an enchanting retreat for nature enthusiasts and Korean culture lovers. Situated in the Nayseo-myeon region of Sangju City in North Gyeongsang Province, this campsite is an approximately 25-minute drive from Sangju City Hall, a distance of about 17km. En route, you’ll traverse the Youngnam Jeil Road, Chaeryeong Mountain Road, and the Seoman 3 Road.
Boasting 23 individual campsites, including 15 lush grass sites and 8 gravel sites, all measuring 5m by 7m, Kuma Auto Camping Ground is the perfect spot to indulge in camping while experiencing Gotgam (dried persimmons). Each campsite is equipped with a fireplace and electricity, and personal trailers and caravans are also welcome, with fees matching those of the campsites.
Although the campsite doesn’t operate a convenience store, a 15-minute drive will take you to a supermarket and a convenience store. Kuma Auto Camping Ground operates in spring, summer, and autumn with reservations available via phone call, on-site, and online in real-time.

The campsite is conveniently located close to various tourist attractions, such as Sungju Bong Natural Recreation Forest and Sangju Cheonggye Temple. You can also indulge in the local cuisine at the famous trout restaurant, Sangju Namjang Trout Pond, located nearby.
