The name Gogurak, which beautifully encapsulates the joy of food crafted with an unchanging dedication to tradition and taste, is a testament to the artisans of Buyeo.

At Gogurak, I was introduced to a vibrant selection of healthy foods, designed specifically to restore vitality during the summer season. The dishes are carefully prepared with Maegmundong and a variety of seasonal agricultural products harvested by the farmers themselves. The restaurant’s slogan, “Taking responsibility for restoring vitality in summer with Maegmundong Baeksuk” (맥문동백숙으로 여름철 원기회복을 책임지다), speaks volumes about their commitment to providing nourishing meals that not only taste good but also make you feel good.
